MIKAELA + MATTHEW

Today we are delighted to share a peek into the beautiful wedding of Micaela and Matthew. Micaela had almost given up finding her dream wedding dress after weeks of research, and happened to pop into Sophie Voon on her day off work. Little did she know that same day she would find it! Micaela chose a beautiful a-line dress in sequin and pearl embellished lace. She accessorized her look with a pearl necklace, sparkly earrings, and a custom made lace bracelet - made from the same beautiful lace on her dress.

"I had been to one dress shop prior to visiting Sophie Voon and found a dress I fell in love with, but unfortunately it was way over my budget. I had searched online for a few weeks and to be honest almost given up on the hope of finding the perfect dress! I had a day off and my mother offered to take me into town to check out a few shops. We came into Sophie Voon, found the dress and bought it that day. I felt like an absolute princess. The dress was perfect!"

Micaela's highlight of their wedding day was walking down the aisle and seeing her husband-to-be cry when he saw her, truly a beautiful moment.

"He is not one to cry and tried his best to hold it in but when the door opened and I was in full-view his tears came flooding!"

Micaela and Matthew did not plan a particular theme for their wedding initially, but when they found their ideal venue they opted for rustic style. Micaela's beautiful bridesmaids wore stunning lace accented dresses in a vibrant orange.

"We didn’t really plan for a theme but with the venue being a beautifully furbished wooden building with a white roof we did end up having a rustic style wedding, which worked perfectly with my dress which was elegant and beautifully lacey. I had the most perfect day and felt amazing all day in my dress. Thanks so much for everything!"
