ZOE

For her special day, Zoe wanted to wear a combination of her grandmother's vintage dress and her mother’s dress from 1996 which was originally made by Nicola Screen in Wellington.

 

Her grandmother's dress was made from ivory silk satin and a delicate lace that I wasn’t sure would still be strong enough to see another wedding through. We resolved this by carefully cutting out the lace detailing from the vintage lace and then stitching this to a more robust base fabric. We recut the Nicola Screen dress so that it fitted Zoe beautifully and combined this with the lace top layer. 

 

Zoe looked gorgeous on her wedding day and it was wonderful to see her ideas come to life.
