JESSIE + BENNY
We are excited to share the dreamy summer wedding of Jessie and Benny today. Jessie and Benny met at a dance event at Hawkes Bay's infamous Art Deco weekend, and have been dancing together ever since! They enjoyed a relaxed wedding day, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, at Jessie's family home in Hawkes Bay. The weather was warm and breezy, which gave life to Jessie's flowing skirt and veil - mesmerizing! They made the most of the Bay's bounty for their reception, enjoying local wines, Rush Munro's ice cream, and the fabulous Hawkes Bay Jazz Club (22 musicians!) for dancing. They chose a romantic vintage inspired theme, and Jessie's talented mum arranged all the lovely blooms for the reception. Jessie wore a delicious silk crepe de chine skirt, and floral lace bodice over a vintage bustier. This idea of separate pieces was ideal, as it gave her the flexibility to change into a shorter skirt to enjoy an evening of dancing.
"It was really important to me that I was able to dance in my dress, although I also had a dream vision of a long floaty skirt. Thankfully, Voon allowed me the option of creating my dress in a two piece so I was able to switch my long skirt for a simple tulle ballet skirt later on. My dress and veil were simply perfect and the weather on the day (slightly breezy and warm) showed them off perfectly as the wind gently floated my skirt around!" Doesn't that sound like the perfect summer's wedding? Just lovely! Congratulations Benny and Jessie!
