PAIGE
Paige came to New Zealand from her native California on a year of exploration. She fell in love not only with the country but with her future husband Eric as well.
She returned home once her visa ran out only to find that they were suddenly separated indefinitely by a pandemic.
A difficult time followed until finally her fiance was able to come to the states and they were reunited.
Paige wanted a dress from New Zealand for her Californian wedding so we discussed the design and fabrics over facetime, with me putting ideas onto a dressmaker's dummy for her.
Paige loved the “Secret Garden” dress but wanted long sleeves, as it was for a winter wedding (similar in temperature to our summer!)
She also loved some of the low backs with scalloped edges on our other dresses, so I created a low back with a scalloped edge by taking flowers off the unused fabric and stitching them in place along the edge.
I had the dress just about ready to send when we were suddenly plunged back into a level 4 lockdown and I was unable to send it off for a few more weeks. Thankfully we had allowed plenty of time.
Paige was thrilled when it did arrive and said “I could not have asked for a more beautiful dress to feel beautiful and glammed in”
Paige and Eric were married at “Winter white barn”, an outdoor rustic venue surrounded by wineries in Temucula California. They had an amazing few days to celebrate with family and friends before heading off to Costa Rica for a beautiful fun filled honeymoon.
